Jaclyn and Gonazalo were married under a huge tree on the family farm in Mora Minnesota last August on a hot and humid day. An intimate gathering of family and friends looked on from benches constructed by the father of the bride. This wedding was full of handcrafted details from lettering to maps drawn for guests and a dinner table built for the reception feast. Jaclyn had a vision of vintage dusty colors and neutrals with a just picked wildflower feel and she requested a cascading bouquet with trailing vines. I was honored to be asked to participate in this event! Images are provided by Levi Tijerina and more is featured on Green Wedding Shoes!
Liz and Bryant were married at Ascension Episcopal Church with the reception next door on the terrace at the public library in Stillwater Minnesota. Soft blooms, greens, lace and mixed metals mingled under a clear tent creating a romantic atmosphere for guests. Thanks to Amanda Nippoldt for the beautiful film photos, Blush and Whim for their organization and Anne at the library! Liz and Bryant were a lovely couple to work with and more of their beautiful day can be seen on Style Me Pretty today!
April and Nick had a beautiful fall day at the Enchanted Barn in Hillsdale Wisconsin this past September. They came to me with a vision of greenery, garlands, ferns and a pop of whimsical coral. The warm rustic wood tones created the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and reception photographed beautifully by Ash and James Photography.
Rob and Katelyn were married at the Minnesota Boat club on a late August day – they were very prepared for the rain showers with a gorgeous clear tent and rain never came! It was a lovely day with pals Rosetree Events and Whitney Anderson Photography creating this Anthropolgie–esque wedding composed of greenery, neutrals, blush and a blend of mixed metals. A full list of all the great people involved is below!
Flowers with a just picked look, a gorgeous gown by Jenny Packham, and a warm muggy evening were all in store for us in late July at Bloom Lake Barn in Shafer Minnesota at this inspirational little photo shoot. An old granary with stone walls and tumbling vines was the perfect backdrop for this intimate setting. I incorporated seasonal fruits, berries and some vines from the studio gardens into the designs with beautiful garden roses to reflect the current season. Thanks to Once Wed for featuring this project! The full credits for everyone who participated are below!
Spring is always bound to come sooner or later in the Twin Cities and this photo shoot in late April was the result of thinking about it ALL winter long. Our team wanted to create a botanical, specimen-like atmosphere in the loft space at the Solar Arts Building in Minneapolis. I designed terrariums with delicate spring blooms like hellebores, paper whites, ferns and sweet peas on a table runner of moss with air plants sprinkled throughout. Chowgirls Catering provided some tasty and beautifully styled savory and sweet treats. This is featured on Style Me Pretty today and the full list of creatives is listed below!

My stylist friend Maddy from Splendid Supply Co and I had some weekend fun earlier this spring designing some prints for a contest over at Minted. Here are a few of them that we styled and photographed. My entire house smelled of citrus and flowers and we made a delicious mess in my sunroom. You can see more of the series here.
Here we have a lovely inspiration shoot from last summer styled by Faith with This Love Weddings and photographed by Laura Ivanova. Faith had a vision of a couple celebrating their love together with friends, good food, wine and lush white blooms with foliages and herbs. The shoot took place at Spill the Wine which has sadly closed since this project last summer, but happily, numerous other places in the Twin Cities exist to create an atmosphere like this! I incorporated fragrant peonies, rosemary, bay and other herbs as well as mockorange blossoms from the garden and my own roses. More of this can be seen here on Style Me Pretty as well as the current issue of Minnesota Bride Magazine. A full list of credits is below. Thanks Faith for including me!

Peter and Sydney were married on a windy winter day at Semple Mansion in late February, but all was cozy and warm inside the mansion for the intimate ceremony and reception. The rich red and burgundy blooms coordinated well with the ornate interior of the historical space and the handcrafted details by family and friends added the personal touch. Thank you to Geneoh Photography for the gorgeous images!
This bright and colorful summer wedding took place last July in Maiden Rock Wisconsin among whistling prairie grasses and rustling pin oak trees. Sweet and cheerful Meg, who is a teacher, married stoic architect Sam high up on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River and it was completed with a Native American blessing. Meg loves color and we tied it all together with the architecture and color of Sam’s parent’s home. We incorporated foraged pin oak branches into the soft floral on the birch arbor and also on the farm tables at the reception. Our homegrown poppies, blackberries (thanks Maddy!) and lavender added to the bright color palette set off by the dark wood. Thanks to Rita with Premier Planning for the flawless coordination, Girl Friday for styling and Justina Louise Photography for the photos!
