The Hutton House, located just outside of Minneapolis Minnesota, asked me to be a part of their Winter Weddings open house this past January. Because of Covid, there were private tours only but this was photographed by the amazing Russell Heeter. As a result, the images turned out beautifully and really conveyed the modern, minimalist but still rustic beauty the Hutton House can offer for winter weddings or special events. We designed a floral installation around the base of Christmas trees in the Fireside Room featuring pampas grass, local winter evergreen foliages, moss and ferns. Pops of dusty olive and caramel painted tulips added a touch of color with textural dried lunaria.
The Lakeside Room featured an ombre dried baby’s breath arch with an emphasis on the beauty of winter branches and inspiration from the Hoar Frost we saw this past snow season in the Twin Cities. The farm table had a neutral and textural linen with teak bowls filled with winter blooms. Collected and Co. brought in contemporary dusty pink dining chairs for seating. And taper candles, in different colors, illuminated the clean white space.
We had two sets of models for this winter wedding open house and photoshoot. Thank you to Savannah and Luke and Dunia and John for helping us out with this project! A video from the talented Alma Films is at the bottom of the post with a full list of vendor credits.
